Great Lakes National Pontiac, MI   7/4-7/5/09   Gregory Schaaf was the only team member to make the long trip up to Michigan for this National Race.  Jeff Schaaf reported the track was really nice because it was in a nice state park and there was about 100 moto's.  On Sat Gregory placed 4th and on Sunday was 7th.   Way to go Gregory and next week will see some team members racing in Tenn. at the Music City National.

Florida BMX State Championship Race at Sarasota BMX May 16th, 2009

Well this was the last and final race of our state season and this turned out to really exciting. This race would count double and would either make or break some of our kids. Some would lose ranking and some would climb to top of number one ranking. When the race was done on Sat with 17 riders in attendance we managed to have three riders with Number One Ranking and three of riders ranked Number Two. There was a lot at stake to do well and our riders showed we are a tough bunch to beat.
We arrived in style as usual. Three families arrived Thursday night so that we could pick a great spot and set up our tents. There isn't enough space for all the teams to set up and with great thanks to Rick and Michelle they managed to again pick, I think, the best spot. They arrived in Sarasota beating me by one hour and by the time I arrived they had already set out all our tents. I understand Michelle was first to arrive and she said it was kind of creepy to go track late at night, in the dark, in the rain. Luckily Rick came to her rescue and they quickly found the perfect spot in the dark. We had such a nice place at the first straight, under the trees and we owe it all to Michelle and Rick. Thank you for continued support and help with our team.

There were about 180 Moto’s with 3 of our riders even having to face quarter finals. (Hey were we at Grand’s or State finals??? I can't tell the difference) I don't think there is State who has such competition at this level. We expect quarters at Grand’s, so one would expect we will be ready for them on Labor Day.
Rookie report-
The 7R and 10 R class had quarters. Our newest rider Garett Dew, just riding some 3 months managed to make it thru to his semi just missing the transfer to main. Brendan did not make it to his main either but held his overall standing to a strong 11th place final finish. Cory in his 10 R class not only made out of his quarters and semi's but managed to get 3rd in the main and kept is 3rd place ranking for final. He should be getting his letter soon to move up to Novice. Kai did not make it to main but had nice finish of 10th.
Novice Report-
The novice class for older riders, Walter 10N and Garrett Boone 13 R we huge. With semi in both classes, Walter and Garrett both made it to their semi's with Walter just missing the transfer. Garrett managed to win his Semi with style and got 5th in main. Our littlest Novice riders Kyle and Ross were on fire all weekend. Ross again had perfect weekend and it seems he has been the most consistent rider all season. I don't know with all his perfects how he got the number 2 plate but we all know in our hearts (and his too) he is NUMBER ONE. I feel Kyle deserved Number one plate too but in his Main he hit the gate hard and came out last and this tiny error cost him his number one plate. He settled for Number two but we all know Kyle and Ross are Number One in hearts.
Expert class-
What can I say about our expert riders? They are ranked experts because of technical abilities and style. They have won so many firsts and move ups in the past and there classes are always difficult to win. There is a lot of talent in expert classes and all the kids are capable to win on different days and tracks. Reese in 8E class was second all day to a rider who was riding on his home track. Home field advantage is always tough to beat but Reese with all his overall points managed to keep his well deserved Number One ranking. I might like to add was Number one when he was rookie and novice and that isn't easy to do. Gregory Schaaff 12 E class had a tuff time with a very talented field of riders. Two riders are world ranked and every one in that class is capable of a win. Greg missed the main which ultimately cost him top 5 ranking and dropped to 7th overall ranking. Not bad considering the depth of the field he rode against. We are still proud of your accomplishments and look forward to Grand Final. If know what I mean. Noah and Preston better watch their shirt tails. Warren is "back in saddle” so we say and managed to finish with 8th overall while missing one qualifier to add to his total points. We always enjoy watching him ride and show us his style.
Girl Classes-
Stephanie Lajoie 11 G and Chelsea Ryytty 16 G again proved to be the girls to beat. They both defended last year titles and again are NUMBER ONE. We look forward to them riding for us at the Grand’s this year. Way to go. Amanda 13 G started riding just this year and did an awesome job in such a tough class. She managed to be ranked 9th this year and this will allow her to go Christmas Classic and she will be excited to go to Grand's as well.
Cruiser Report-
What can I say about the men of the team? We love watching them and we love the team support they give us. Pete Bruno continues to win his Moto’s with ease and he makes it look so effortless. He was tied for points going into the main and unfortunately his 3rd place finish moved him down and had to settle for the settle for Number Two again, second year in row. Peter Birnbreyer missed his first moto but managed to finish in 19th place. Robert Abraham just missed his main transfer but he managed to get an 11th place finish. I think he wanted that plate anyway because both he and his son have the same ranking for next year. "Like father like son."

The money team ranking proved to be a close finish. The 3rd-6th place teams had just points separating us. We managed to get the 6th ranking and I am proud we were able to have such a good finish considering we are a new team and competed against some really huge money teams and factory teams. I am so proud of all the riders and really want to thank the families who traveled all over Florida to give our team a great finish. We all can be proud to wear our Jersey’s with pride and the riders can now show off all the new state plates this summer. The state season has come to an end but this is just the beginning to getting ready for the Grand’s. We are in 8th place nationally out 60 teams and I look forward to our next national race. I hear the buzz word that some riders are heading to Music city National in Tenn. and if we can get 5 riders to make it there we may have enough riders present to put one more team sheet in before Grand’s.

On a final note I would like to thank Mary Ann and Joe for all the kind support with feeding the team and making sure all our riders were cooled down between Moto’s with the delicious snow cones. I think my son totally enjoyed helping out and serving and making snow cones all weekend. We look forward to seeing Joey start riding again and I wanted to thank Joey Saber and Pete Bruno for helping our riders get ready for the championship race.

Tampa Qualifier 7 and 8
We had 13 riders make it to the final qualifier and we sure did have fun.  We grilled out and had nice picnic each day and all the kids seemed to have fun either playing games on their Nintendo DS or just kidding around and being kids.  It is nice to see the riders all get along so well. We had two riders get into our "Hall of Fame Perfect Club" this weekend with Kyle Boone 6N and Cory Bruno 10R having a perfect day on Sat.  All the classes were pretty big and many of our riders had semi's. With that in mind our  team put in two good scores and I am really excited to see what  that will do  to our money team standing.  We are now in 5th place and I would not be surprised to see us move up to maybe 3rd place as a money team . Way to go. We again road in parade lap and our team looked awesome.  I love to see them out there.  It is team effort and it takes all of you to put in such good scores. I am proud of you all.

Hello Parents and Riders,
I have some exciting news to tell every one.
I was looking at our points for our team standing Nationally and I am so proud to let you know that our small team is now ranking in the top 8. This is out of 42 teams Nationally. When we go to Grands, which is our final race to count for awards, the race will count double in points for the team. I really think we have chance to make it in the top 5. If we make it into the top 5 there is a big cash award at end year. Wow, I am so proud of us. Our kids proved they are one of the top teams in nation and of course we also have good ranking as a "money team' in Florida State, as well. Each rider can be proud when they wear our jersey they represent a National Team and a Money in Florida and we are ranked in top.

Check out the standing so far. The top 7 teams are factory teams with big bike sponsors and are huge teams and then there is us the " Mom and Pop" owned team. Parents can also be so proud too because without you all and the support we wouldn't even had a team this year.
Thank you all.

“Ride the Revolution”
Your manager, Jean Oberg

Easter Classic   St. Cloud,  Florida April 11th-12th, 2009

We arrived in St. Cloud with a team of 9 riders.   We had our two newest National Team Members join us (Stephanie and Chelsea) and it was really nice to have our team place 3rd for both Sat and Sunday with great Team NBL scores.   We managed to again ride in the flag lap and it makes me so proud to see our riders being asked to ride in the flag lap at so many races.    I also think the riders feel the same way.
Every rider contributes to our team and the success of our team is how we are all bonded by the love of our sport. I want to thank all of our riders for a successful weekend.
The track was really nice and good shape and the hotel we stayed at was a mini-water park and our kids had a blast Sat night.

Ross Goldstein 5N and Stephanie Lajoie 11G was on fire all weekend  and they showed us that the talent and depth of our team is really awesome.  These two riders not only joined the  Hall of Fame "Perfect Club" but they joined it,  in a hard to believe fashion.    They had a double perfect weekend.      Way to go Ross and Stephanie.

I would like to thank the parents who brought our kids to race and who put our team tent up. I would like to give special thank to Michelle Boone and Jeff Schaaf.    Michelle left for the track one day early and made sure she picked out the spot to place team tent. We had nice view of whole track and finish line.  I would like to give another special thank you to the Jeff for making the stands for our banners.  Every week we see how with team work we can really work to build a strong team. What a great team we have.  Thanks.

Gator Nationals  April 4th and 5th 2009

Amanda - Walter - Gregory - Ross - Kyle - ReeseThis was exciting race for our team because we had 7 riders make the long journey to High Springs and we placed 3rd overall on Saturday for our National Team NBL and 2nd on Sunday.   This will allow our riders to again ride in the Flag lap on Sat for the Easter Classic.   Way to go team.  Let's "Ride the Revolution" to a win at the Easter Classic.
We have another fabulous weekend for our members of the Perfect Club.  Kyle Boone 6N was on fire all weekend and no one in his class could even come close to challenging him.  They were looking at the back of his jersey all weekend and he rode an outstanding double perfect for the weekend.  Way to go Kyle.
Walter and Gregory had fun all weekend showing the younger riders how many jumps they could jump and fly over.   I liked to see some older riders showing our younger riders where they can make up time and find the fastest line.   Walter worked with Ross this weekend and we thank him for that. Maybe we can start a mentor program like this and keep up the good work.
Gregory had a fever and was sick most of the weekend but he showed us heart and rode despite how he was feeling and did fairly well under the circumstances.    Walter managed to have biggest class again for 4th time now and in his Semi managed to show us when he gets good gate in his class the riders will have a hard time catching him and he won his semi with ease.
Reese and Ross rode their hearts out and showed us no matter what track they are at they are good for 1st or 2nd. Amanda held the fort down in her girl class.   We have a really strong team and it shows especially going into such big races with such small team and again coming out as a top team.
I would like to thank all the parents who brought the riders to the race and the tent and set up looked great as usual.

Qualifier Charlotte BMX March 14th and 15th, 2009

What an exciting weekend we all had for the 5th and 6th Florida qualifier. 7 riders showed up to make us proud. It seemed we were in the review trailer all weekend because so many finishes were won by just inches. Several riders won all three moto’s with ease but when it came to the mains there were many close calls. The scorer had trouble with many of our riders giving them many second place finishes but with the video protests we came out first on all accounts. I think three or four to be exact. Needless to say it only proves that when you "pedal to finish line" the outcome may surprise you. Way to go Revolution. I have to say our riders never gave up and it proved to be outstanding weekend with some great team scores. I think we have the fewest riders as a money team and the final results aren't out yet but I can't wait to see how we finished as a team. Each race we are getting stronger and stronger.

We had several riders get into our Perfect Club this weekend. Reese Goldstein 8E on Sat, Ross Goldstein 5N on Sat, and Kyle Boone 6N on Sunday. Reese Goldstein had almost his first double prefect this weekend missing it by one moto with second on moto one for Sunday. The 11 year class to proved to be the biggest class for both Walter O'Brien 11N and Gregory Schaaf 11E. They both had nearly 17 riders in each class with semis in both classes. It was so exciting to see Gregory and Walter jumping many of the doubles and both making their mains in such huge classes.

Amanda Schaaf had some exciting news with purchase of her new Crupi bicycle. Her first bicycle she had been riding was such a heavy bicycle and this one is so awesome one would only expect to see some exciting finishes with her in the near future. Good Luck with your new bicycle Amanda.

The Abraham's showed up this weekend with whole family including the family dog. Little Brendan was unable to ride this weekend because his arm was in cast from a fall on the play ground at school. We hope for speedy recovery. His father did ride all weekend in his cruiser class. He rode really well in all Moto’s just missing the mains with small slide out in his semi on Sunday. Here are the results for weekend.

I would like to thank all the parents and sisters and brothers who helped with tent set up. The dedication you all are showing on daily basis doesn't go unnoticed and will make our team strong. We are Bonded by some great friendships and some great kids. Thanks to all of you for making this team possible. PHOTOS

Southern Charm National @ Sandy Ridge BMX, McDonough, Georgia Feb. 7th & 8th 2009

We arrived in Georgia with 5 riders and for small team we managed to produce 2 good scores to keep us in hunt for National Honors, at the Grands. The track and facility was really nice and we all would like to thank Michelle and Ken Boone for setting up our tent. It was exciting to see that each of our 5 riders made all their mains for both Saturday and Sunday. We also had two riders join our “perfect club” by producing 1st place in all three moto’s and the main. The interesting thing was Garrett Boone; 13N did his honors on Sat, only to give honors to his little brother, Kyle Boone 6N, on Sunday. Way to go Boone Brothers for sharing the spot light. Revolution Racing will now list all the riders who make the perfect club on the web.
Again I would like to thank the Boone Family and Schaaf Family for driving the 9 hours plus car trip to make this all possible.
Without all these riders including my son we had just enough riders to put the team sheet in. I am so proud of our team and you could see it on my face all weekend. I feel our scores were an accomplishment and tribute to caliber of riders we have on our team. When we go to a big national race with such a small team it doesn’t leave any margin for tiny errors. For us to do as well as we do both nationally and for our sunshine state series shows me that our team is made of group of strong racers. Sponsors will be taking note of this fact and I feel we will continue to “wow” ourselves in future. “Ride the Revolution” and you will see us travel to the top of the scoreboard. Results for the January 24-25th Qualifier/Regional Race at St.Petersburg Florida.
Revolution Team

I have some great news for our team. We had 10 riders represent our team in the qualifier/regional race and everyone did great and survived the very long track and huge start hill. Our team did really great all weekend and we only had one fall. "Pistol Pete" had a spectacular fall which was captured by the photographer, and I am sure he is such a ham he would be glad to show the picture when we get home.   On Sat he flew off his bike to land on head and shoulder.  I am not sure how he didn't get hurt but maybe he should consider being a "stunt rider" instead of actor.     He managed to finish the weekend just barely missing his main both days but he had one of the biggest classes all weekend and just missed the bubble spot in his semi on both days.
As a team, I am proud to say we looked excellent in our fine uniforms, and the highlight of the weekend was we were asked to ride in parade lap two times. On Saturday we actually placed in two divisions, 5 riders represented us in one division where we placed 3rd as a MONEY TEAM and the 5 riders rode in parade lap for our 4th overall placement as a Regional-NBL Team.  The results of riders are as follows:

Ross Goldstein 5N (Sat. 2, Sun. 2 )  , Kyle Boone 6N ( Sat. 5,Sun. 6) Reese Goldstein 8E  (Sat. 1,Sun. 3)   Brendan Abraham 7 R (Sun. 7th), Walter Obrien 11 N (Sat. 4, Sun. 4)  Garrett Boone 13 N (Sat. 3, Sun. 5)  Gregory Schaaf 11E (Sun. 3rd),  Amanda Schaaf 13 G  (Sat. 7, Sun. 5), Rob Abraham 40-44 C (Sat. 8, Sun. 6)

I must say THANK YOU to all the parents and kids who came out this weekend and I am so proud of our team and I just can't wait for the next race.

Jean Oberg - Manger.

Here is from left to right Garrett, Walter and Kyle sporting our new uniforms at the new track in St. Petersburg.  Several riders went last weekend for practice and a race. The track is long and really fun once you get over the huge start and gate.  I know our riders will enjoy it on next qualifier and we are really looking forward to showing off our new uniforms.
