Alexys started racing in August of 2009 by participating in the Florida State Summer series where she finished in third place on her SE Mini Ripper. She enjoys Ballet and Hip Hop Dance and on some nights she rushes away from the dance studio, drives straight to the track and changes into her BMX uniform.

Alexys committed herself to the 2010 State Series. She competed in a very difficult class where she race against other girls that were ranked #1 and # 2 in the state as well as the girl ranked #7 in the world. Alexys did not get discouraged and continued to compete and improve every race. By the end of the season she started to come on strong. She logged three “Perfect” races in April 2010 signaling good things to come. Alexys finished her first state series, having raced only 25 total races, in 8th place (25 places better than her brother in his first season).
